I am James "Buster" Douglas and I am now joining the Yard! I wanted to thank all of the fans for making this site a huge success.

I will post stuff about Boxing of course, and also other sports and just things that are going through my mind at the time.

Buster, I remember watching your fight with Tyson on HBO. You looked like you were in the best shape of your life, and we were astounded at the outcome of the fight. It really shows that if you work hard enough, want it bad enough, and get the right opportunities, you can make magic happen!

  Thanks Actually the true story is my mom had died, I was sick with the flu and was having a lot of other problems before that fight.

well, gotdamn.....Buster Freaking Douglas. The man who ruined my childhood by killing my superman....LMAO....good on you man. I have no idea HOW you did it, and if my memory serves me correctly, he knocked you out first but there was some shady counting BUT, looking back on it, you have my UTMOST respect. You knocked out IRON Mike Tyson....not, "tattoo face," tomato can Tyson. NOBODY else can say that man. Good job. Welcome to the yard, and you HAVE, HAVE to blog about that fight man. Just get it out of the way, because we ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL want to know just WHAT THE FU*K was going through your head! How do you feel about it? What the FU*K happened to you AFTER that fight? Do you think there was some shadyness in the counting, etc, etc, etc. I'll be keeping a CLOSE eye on your stuff man.

Welcome Buster!! Good to see you here, I am from Columbus as well. I didn't go to Linden but South High. My folks had to scrape up the extra money in order to get to watch your fights and the whole family would sit around the TV and watch you. You inspired me as a child with knocking Tyson out.

  If I never see another boxing match for the rest of my life, and when I'm 94 someone says, "Buster Douglas," I'm going to go, "the guy that knocked out Tyson?" Thats not something you forget because you haven't seen boxing in a while. lol

i never really did watch boxing. why am i explaining myself to you? the only reason i knew about it then, was because i saw it in the paper and on sportscenter.

Buster, I will never forget the night you knocked out Mike. Phones were ringing off the hook. It was like time stopped. Arguably the biggest upset of all time!

  screw "arguably," THE biggest upset. Number 2, "18-1." I hate the Giants for that. Because although I am NOT a fan of the Patriots, I absolutely LOATHE the 72 Dolphins. I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate Mercury Morris and wanted to watch him cry on tv and just imagine him going home and hanging himself in his studio apartment because he has to share the undefeated spotlight

Buster, I also remember that your mom passed away a few weeks before the fight. I've never been able to say this personally to you, but may she rest in peace and sorry for your loss. This must have been an emotional and inspirational fight as well.
